The OpenSSL 3.0 support provided in this release includes a change that could affect existing Universal Agent behavior.

It is now possible that setting in a system's OpenSSL configuration file could override Universal Agent behavior and alter its behavior. For example, if a particular Linux system's crypto policies do not permit the use of older, less secure encryption methods or message digests (e.g., RC4-SHA), an Agent that was previously able to complete a connection with that connection may now fail.

For Agents that rely on default cipher list values, or that are using recent, more secure ciphers, this should not be a problem.

The Universal Agent for HP-UX is still supported for this release (and supported maintenance releases), but it is no posted along with Universal Agent packages for other supported platforms. If you need this package, please contact Stonebranch Customer Support and they will provide it.

If a decision is eventually made to drop Universal Agent support for HP-UX, advance notice will be given.
