In the previous set of pages (The Basics), Extensions were created based off the built-in starter templates, ue-task and ue-publisher. While the templates are generic and often a good start, they are not very customizableStarting with 7.5.0.0, the Universal Extension framework (along with UA and UC) now offers seamless integration with Opentelemetry, providing developers with metrics and tracing capabilities for improved Extension observability.
