Create an Ad-hoc File Transfer Link - Web Transfer Client

Ad-hoc file transfers can be edited from the Web Transfer Client and the UDMG Admin UI (see Adhoc Activity for steps).

Step 1Login to the UDMG Admin UI. 
Step 2

Click on Transfers dashboard from the UDMG Admin UI navigation pane. The Transfers dashboard provides a list of all UDMG file transfers, including ad-hoc file transfers

Step 3

To view additional ad-hoc file transfer details, click on the transfer record. 


Step 4

To confirm, the transfer was an ad-hoc file transfer, click on the Information tab.

Step 1Login to the UDMG Admin UI.

Click on Ad-Hoc Activity from the UDMG Admin UI navigation pane. The Ad-Hoc Activity service provides a list of all ad-hoc file transfers and links created via the Web Transfer Client


Select the select refresh icon () to determine which columns are displayed via the column picker. 

Step 3

To view additional ad-hoc file transfer details, double-click on the ad-hoc transfer record.

Note: The Client IPs field lists the IPs from where the file was downloaded. 

Step 4

To edit an ad-hoc file transfer link, use the Task bar icons to Extend, Revoke, Copy Link to Clipboard, and Refresh the record.

Note: A revoked ad-hoc file transfer link cannot be restored. A new link must be generated for the associated file and parameters. 

  • Extend

Note: If the Extend Ad-hoc Transfer field is left empty the link will not have an expiration date.
