A change delivered for Universal Agent 7.3.0.0 (see D-10690 in the 7.3.x Maintenance List) involved several changes to existing Universal Connector for PeopleSoft (UPPS) and Universal Connector for SAP (USAP) message IDs.

Each Universal Agent component is required to have a unique message ID range. This makes it possible to easily identify the source of an error and keeps a clean Messages and Codes document.

The tables below contain the message IDs that were defined and issued by both USAP and UPPS. In most cases, USAP used an ID that fell within the range of IDs assigned to USAP, so UPPS is the component that was updated.

  • The Old Message ID column contains a single message ID or range of message IDs used prior to UA 7.6.0.0.
  • The New Message ID column shows the value these messages have starting with UA 7.6.0.0.
  • The Message Level shows the severity of the message, as defined by the MESSAGE_LEVEL values shared by Universal Agent components.

USAP Message Catalog Updates

The USAP message catalog had several values that duplicated message IDs already in use by UDM and the Opswise File Monitor utility. To resolve those conflicts, new message IDs were assigned to the USAP messages.
