UCMSCPST_PATH - UCMD Server configuration option

Description

The UCMSCPST_PATH option specifies the absolute path to an external link that resides on the z/OS UNIX file system. The link points to the UCMD Server STC command processor, UCMSCPST.

The option is provided to support disabling the UID 0 requirement for the Universal Broker started task. Specifying this link allows UCMD Server to execute a started task without BPX.SUPERUSER and BPX.DAEMON privileges.

If a value is provided for this option, the external link must be created manually prior to any attempt to run a started task via UCMD Server. The link must point to the UCMSCPST load module and it must be owned by UID 0.

Values

directory is the fully-qualified path to an external link that resides on the z/OS UNIX file system.

If this option is not specified, UCMD Server will format a link name and attempt to create it in the location specified by the TMP_DIRECTORY UCMD Server configuration option.

If UCMD Server does not have BPX.SUPERUSER privileges, the attempt to create the link will fail.
