Tutorial - Upload a file with UDMG Web Transfer Client

In this tutorial, you will:

  • Login to the UDMG Web Transfer Client.

  • Browse to the virtual space that is allowed for the user.

  • Upload a file.

  • Login to the UDMG Admin UI.

  • Monitor the file transfer.

Step 1

  • Open the UDMG Web Transfer Client login page.

  • Fill in the Username, Password, and Captcha code.

  • Click the LOGIN button.

Step 2

The user's home space is displayed:

In this case, there is only one available folder.

Step 3

Double-click on the in folder to visit that location.

Step 4

The content of the folder is displayed with the current path on top:

Click the Upload icon () and then click the SELECT FILES button to choose the file to store in the folder:

Note

The file name cannot contain special characters (e.g., &, +, %, #, ;). 

Step 6

Click the UPLOAD button.

The upload of the file(s) is initiated and the progress panel is displayed at the bottom of the window.

Step 7

Click on the panel to expand it.

The progress is displayed for each file:

The completion is confirmed with a check mark.

Step 9

The file transfer is registered on UDMG and can be monitored with the Activity Transfer dashboard from the UDMG Admin UI navigation pane:

If enabled on the Web Transfer server, the files can be renamed.

Select a file and open the contextual menu with right-click:

Click on Rename and input the new name:

Click Save to finish the operation:

Note

To enable file rename, the local-auth server must be set up with the Allow Rename File feature enabled. Local Servers service from UDMG Admin UI navigation pane:

Step 11

If enabled on the Web Transfer server, the files can be deleted.

Select a file and right-click to open the contextual menu. Select Remove, or click on the Trash icon () to delete the file.

Note

To enable file deletion, the local-auth server must be set up with the Allow Remove File feature enabled. Local Server service from UDMG Admin UI navigation pane:
