The crash occurred when incomplete SSH handshakes and orphaned network connections accumulated over time, exhausting available resources.

The fix adds explicit connection timeouts and resource cleanup through three new configurable parameters:

• idle_timeout (default: 10 minutes) to tear down idle connections at both ends of the tunnel.

• debug_port to enable a monitoring interface for the Agent Proxy Server (disabled by default).

• UDMG Server instance switches to OFFLINE mode when detecting a database connection loss and will periodically attempt to restore the connection.

• When the connection is restored, the instance switches to PASSIVE mode and becomes eligible for ACTIVE mode. 

• Cluster Node Mode transitions are logged with INFO level, while the exceptional transitions to OFFLINE for database connection loss are logged with WARN (warning) level.

• For a controlled shutdown, the UDMG Server instance sets itself in OFFLINE mode before the termination. This allows a faster failover from another instance from PASSIVE mode to ACTIVE mode, the delay will now be the heartbeat period instead of the deadline period.
