Taskboard
Overview
The Taskboard is a list of Task Instances the user has access to. This page is structured similarly to My Tasks, but My Tasks displays Tasks, while the Taskboard displays Task Instances.
To view the Taskboard, click the Checkerboard icon in the sidebar menu.
Activity List
The main body of the Taskboard is the Activity List, which displays a list of Task Instances in your UAC instance, much like the Activity Monitor and Task Instance List in Universal Controller.
Note
Task Instances are not to be confused with Tasks, which are displayed on the My Tasks page.
The Activity List shows all Task Instances included by the selected Filters. On the bottom left, the table indicates the number of records found and last time refreshed. On the bottom right, you can select the page to display. The table will also respond to your scroll wheel or touchpad, allowing you to scroll through the list of Task Instances page by page.
Task Instances are sortable by column. The default sort order is by Last Update. You can customize which columns to display by clicking the rightmost icon in the top row of the table:
Column Descriptions
The following table describes the columns displayed in the Taskboard.
Column Name | Description |
---|---|

At the top of the page, you can filter the Task Instances displayed in the Activity List by a time frame between 4 hours and 7 days.
State Filters
You can also filter Task Instances by State category. Each category includes several Task Instance Statuses:

The colored boxes at the top of the page report the number of Task Instances in each State within the selected Filters. By clicking these boxes, you can also filter the Activity List by State. You can include multiple States in the filter by clicking more than one box. Active State Filters will be indicated by a border and circular icon in the top right corner:
Clicking the State again will remove it from the filter. To clear all State Filters, click the "Reset" button that appears by the Additional Filters, below.
Additional Filters
The Taskboard provides three additional filters for displaying Task Instances: Business Services, Tasks, and Types. In each filter, you can select a specific entry or search via freeform type.
The Business Services Filter allows you to display all Instances belonging to a given Business Service. The Tasks and Types filters work similarly, allowing you to display all Instances of a given Task or Type, respectively.
Note
You can also display all Instances of a particular Task by using the Filter Task command in the Command Menu for any given Task Instance.
Task Instance Commands
Although you cannot modify or delete Task Instances in Universal Portal, there are several actions you can perform from the Activity List. To access the Command Menu for a Task Instance, click the three-dot icon at the end of the row:
You can then perform any of the following actions from this context menu:

Viewing Task Instance Details

Note
Task Instances are not to be confused with Tasks. To view the details of a Task definition, rather than a specific Instance, use the Task Definition command or go to the Task Details page from My Tasks.
At the top of the Task Instance Details page, you can see the name of the Task Instance and how it was launched. Below, you can view the Agent and time information. The buttons to Retrieve Output and Re-Run function the same as the corresponding actions in the Command Menu.
The box on the left conveys additional information such as Status and Type. The Task Instance Status is displayed in the top left, and the whole box is colored to match this Status (in this case, blue for Success). In the bottom right of the box, you can see the Task Type and Instance number. The Type is also indicated by the icon in the box (in this case, Tux the Linux penguin).
