Overview
The Taskboard
This page explains the features of the Taskboard page from top to bottom.
Filters
Time Filters
At the top of the page, you can filter the Task Instances displayed in the Activity List by a time frame, between 4 hours and 7 days.
State Filters
You can also filter Task Instances by State category. Each category includes several Task Instance Statuses:
PROBLEM | Undeliverable, Running/Problems, Cancel Pending, In Doubt, Start Failure, Cancelled, Failed |
WAITING | Defined, Waiting, Time Wait, Held, Exclusive Requested, Exclusive Wait, Resource Requested, Resource Wait, Execution Wait, Queued, Submitted, Action Required, Confirmation Required, |
RUNNING | Step Restarted, Started, Running |
DONE | Skipped, Finished, Forced Finish, Done |
You can filter the Activity List by Task Instance State by clicking these boxes. You can include multiple States in the filter by clicking more than one box. Active State Filters will be indicated with a border and circular icon in the top right corner:
Clicking the State again will remove it from the filter. To clear all State Filters, click the "Reset" button that appears by the Additional Filters, below.
Additional Filters
The Taskboard provides three additional filters for displaying Task Instances. In each filter, you can select a specific entry or search via freeform type.
Filter | Description |
---|---|
My Tasks: Filter by Task (i.e. display all Instances of a given Task) | |
(insert screenshot here) | Task Types: Filter by Task Type (i.e. display all Instances of a given Type) |
(insert screenshot here) | Business Services: Filter by Business Services (i.e. display all Instances belonging to a given Business Service) |
Activity List
The main body of the Taskboard is the Activity List, which displays a list of Task Instances in your UAC instance, much like the Activity Monitor and Task Instance List in Universal Controller.
Note
Task Instances are not to be confused with Tasks, which are displayed on the My Tasks page.
The Activity List shows all Task Instances included by the selected Filters. On the bottom left, the table indicates the number of records found and last time refreshed. On the bottom right, you can select the page to display. The table will also respond to your scroll wheel or touchpad, allowing you to scroll through the list of Task Instances page by page.
Task Instances are sortable by column – in this configuration: Task, Business Services, Last Update, Type, and Status. The default sort order is by Last Update. You can customize which columns to display in the Activity List by clicking the rightmost icon in the top row of the table:

Viewing Task Instance Details
Lorem ipsum
There are two ways of viewing Task Instance details. The first is through the three-dot icon menu, the second is by simply clicking on the task name.
In the top left hand corner, is a box which shows the task type icon, in a colored box that represents the task status, along with the task type and instance number.
To the left of it is the name, how it was launched (in this case via a workflow), and time information.
Also, to the right of the box is a set of relevant command buttons. Again, View (in UC) is an experimental feature due for removal before release).
Below that are individual sections with additional data relating to the task instance. If the Retrieve Output command is available, it will also similarly show up in a slider control.
Important Note: If you click on the “Sourced From” name, it will take you into the Task Definition
