At the top of the page, you can filter the Task Instances displayed in the Activity List by a time frame, between 4 hours and 7 days.

You can also filter Task Instances by State category. Each category includes several Task Instance Statuses:

Task Instances are sortable by column. In this configuration, you can choose from Task, Business Services, Last Update, Type, and Status. The default sort order is by Last Update. You can customize which columns to display by clicking the rightmost icon in the top row of the table:

Column Descriptions

The following table describes the columns displayed in the Taskboard.

ColumnDescription
Task

The name of the Task Instance.

Clicking on a Task Instance name will take you to the Task Instance Details page.

Trigger IDThe sys_id of the Trigger that launched the Task Instance.
Business Services

The Business Service(s) the Task is a member of.

If the Trigger is a member of multiple Business Services, the entry in this column will be:

Hovering your mouse over Several will display a popup of all the Business Services associated with the Task.

Last UpdateThe most recent time the status of the Task Instance changed. 
StateThe State of the Task Instance.
TypeThe Task Type.
StatusThe Status of the Task Instance

Although you cannot modify or delete Task Instances in Universal Portal, there are several actions you can perform from the Activity List. To access the command menu for a Task Instance, click the three-dot icon at the end of the row:

Details appear in a console at the bottom of the screen. The console can slide up or down, making it easy to use on both computers and hand-held devices. It has a convenient “Copy” function.

Show Related Tasks

This action is visible only if this Task Instance is a Workflow or a Task Instance participating in a Workflow.

There are two ways of viewing Task Instance details. The Show Details action in the command menu shows a simplified list of details in a console. To , or you can view a full page of more detailed information , by simply click clicking on the Task Instance name in the Activity List.

Task Instances are not to be confused with Tasks. To view the details of a Task definition, rather than a specific Instance, see Viewing Task Details.


At the top of the Task Instance Details page, you can see the name of the Task Instance and how it was launched. Below, you can view the Agent and time information. The buttons to Retrieve Output, Re-Run, and View (in UC) function the same as the corresponding actions in the command menu in the Activity List.
