User Interface


Overview

The UDMG user interface is comprised of two basic elements:

When you log in to the UDMG user interface, the home page displays.

The home page opens by default with the Transfers activity list. The Services panel on the left side of the page lists all the Services that are available.


User Interface Details

In addition to the Home panel and the Services panel, the Home Page - and all pages accessed via Services - contains the following information (except where noted):

Section

Description

Link to the Stonebranch website.

System Identifier defined by the "udmg.system_identifier" login service property.

The banner background color and logo  are defined by the "udmg.banner.background_color" and "udmg.banner.logo" properties.

User-specific information for the logged in user.

  • Change Password
    Change Password dialog for this user.
  • User Sessions
    List of currently authenticated user sessions.
  • Logout
    Logs out this user from the user interface.


Note

After changing the password, a logout is required to provide the new credentials.

Node status (System Details).

The color-coded bar shows the internal service status:

  • Green: operational: all services are Running or Offline (either disabled or stopped by a user).
  • Orange: degraded: at least 1 service is in the Error state.
  • Red: failure, 1 of the main services (Admin, Database, Controller) is not running
  • Grey: not reachable: UDMG Admin UI cannot refresh the status

The background color shows the node status (active, passive, offline)


Customizing the Banner

You can customize the UDMG Admin UI banner that displays across the top of the page via the UDMG Authentication Proxy configuration, please refer to the administation guide section: Customizing the Banner.

Console

The Console contains informational and error messages regarding recent UDMG activity.

For example: 


When the Console is hidden, it opens automatically to display  error ( x ) and information ( i ) messages.

Note

Error messages related to specific fields are displayed next to the fields themselves in the record Details, not in the Console.

You also can open the Console manually at any time by clicking the UDMG Console icon on the User Task Bar.

Select and Copy

Select message text either of three ways:

  • Drag your cursor across any of the text.
  • Double-click a single entry in the text to select only that entry.
  • Triple-click anywhere in the message text to select all of the text.

Use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste the selected text.

Close

Close the Console either by:

  • Clicking the Close icon at the top of the Console.
  • Clicking the Console icon on the User Task Bar.
